The application process for the prospective applicants
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
- All applicants must be committed to improving themselves and becoming, if not already, mentors to others.
- The SWEAP application must be completed by the deadline. No additional material will be accepted after the deadline.
- All eligible applications will be sent to the judging committee for scoring.
- The finalists’ names, biographies and photos may be published for editorial, marketing and promotional materials as part of the inaugural SWEAP Awards.
- Applicants are accepted regardless of their country of residence.
- Network members are welcome to apply for the competition.
- An applicant may withdraw her application at any time, by contacting riadca@gmail.com
Key Dates*
- Applications Open: June 1, 2026
- Applications Close: July 31, 2026
- Initial scoringbased on the information available in the applications August 15, 2026
- Interviews September 1, 2026, to September 13, 2026
- Final scoring September 16, 2026
- Personal/confidential letters to the finalists September 28, 2026
- Finalists announced on SM October 5, 2026
- Awards Ceremony December 2025

Avoiding judging bias
Judges will not evaluate applications submitted by immediate family members or business partners and must abstain from reviewing any application where they perceive a potential bias or conflict of interest.
The application scoring by the individual judges will be anonymous to the other judges until the application period is closed and all judges complete their scoring.
Results
The highest scoring applicants will be invited to an interview and scored on a separate form. The interview scores decide the finalists. The initial application scores will not carry over to the interview score.

Judging Process & Avoiding Bias
To maintain absolute integrity, our judging process strictly adheres to the following rules:
- Judges will not evaluate applications submitted by immediate family members or business partners and must abstain from reviewing any application where they perceive a potential bias or conflict of interest.
- Application scoring by individual judges will remain anonymous to other judges until the application period is closed and all judges complete their scoring.
- The highest-scoring applicants will be invited to an interview. The interview scores alone decide the finalists; initial application scores do not carry over.
Evaluation Criteria
Our judging panel evaluates prospective finalists based on a comprehensive 5-point scale across five core pillars:
- Excellence and Impact: Demonstrated distinction and measurable achievements (e.g., quantifiable outcomes, positive evaluations) in the applicant's domain.
- Alignment with Syropronet Values: Commitment to professional integrity, ethical leadership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and positive societal contribution.
- Entrepreneurship & Empowerment: Evidence of innovation, initiative, and a commitment to empowering others through action, business, or community efforts.
- Resilience & Adaptability: The ability to adapt to change, overcome adversity, and bring fresh, creative solutions to challenges.
- Vision & Future Potential: Clarity and promise in goals for future development, backed by a strategic plan and actionable steps.
